Vampire Covens::First Class

This semester we will be discovering vampire’s covens, hunting habits and special powers. This first class will be used throughout this trimester for different things and is a creative writing type of project and will hopefully be enjoyable for you.

The class is as follows:
You will be making your own coven for this first class. Here are the things that must be included:

1) The name of your coven.
2) Your name.
3) What position you hold in you coven (leader, member, ect.)
4) The location of your coven (city, state, country).
5) Whether you hold a permanent settlement or roam around.
5) What your covens eating habits are (vegetarians, or maneaters).
6) Why your coven has those eating habits.
7) How many other vampires are in your covens?
8 ) The name of the rest of the vampires in your coven.
9) If you or any of your fellow coven members have special powers.
10) How old each of your coven members are (how old when they were changed and how old they are now).
11) Write a short story about a regular day (or week, month, ect.) is like in your coven or how a short story about how you were created.

Whoever has the most creative project will receive 400 Vegetarian Points. Second Place will receive 300 Vegetarian Points, and will receive 200 Vegetarian Points, and anyone who sends in a project will receive 100 Vegetarian Points so you get something something for trying! I grade these by creativity and how hard you tried NOT by covens (as in the covens you guys are sorted into) so just try your best and I guarantee you will get something good out of it Very Happy

There are 4 other vampires in my coven

They are: Kevin, Annabelle, Jean-Luc, and Geoff

Vegetarians

We are all vegetarians for different reasons. Our coven leader Jean-Luc is a vegetarian vampire because after being turned he drank his wife's blood and since then has sworn off humans to try and pay a penance for killing his wife. Geoff is our newest coven member and he is a vegetarian for Annabelle who is his mate. He turned vegetarian for her. Annabelle is a vegetarian for reasons unknown to myself and I havenot taken it upon myself to ask her for I feel that it is something very personal, possibly having to do with her human life. Kevin, my mate, has "grown-up" as a vegetarian after I "saved" his "life" when I found him in the middle of a battlefield dying from gunshot wounds to the chest. Besides Jean-Luc and Geoff, I am the only other coven member to have tasted human blood. I started drinking human blood directly after my change and did so for 13 years until I ran into (quite literally) Jean-Luc in my travels. He told me of his lifestyle and I chose to give it a try and I have not had human since.
I am the only one in our coven to have a special power. My power is I can see how past events have shaped a person if I am touching them.

Jean-Luc was 32 when he was changed and he has been a vampire for 350 years
I was 18 when I was changed and I have been a vampire for 234 years
Kevin was 21 when he was changed and has been a vampire for 199 years
Annabelle was 22 when she was changed and has been a vampire for 119 years
Geoff was 20 when changed and has been a vampire for 313 years

I have 2 stories: The first is the story of when I met Jean Luc.
I had been a vampire for 13 years and was traveling up to Paris to find a new feeding ground. As I traveled through the woods and I wasn't paying attention to where I was going when I felt myself hit a hard object. I looked up to see a strange pair of golden eyes looking down at me from the sweet smell I could tell that this was another vampire. I took a step back and looked at the vampire I had run into. I could tell he was observing me also.
"You eat humans" he said. It was a statement not an accusation.
"Don't all vampires?" I asked confused.
"I do not." he replied, "I live off drinking the blood of animals."
"Why do you do that? Humans are our natural prey."
"It is difficult to explain. I don't know how to begin."
"You don't have to tell me. I can see it for myself if you give me your hand." I said to him, "Its my power. If I touch your hand I can see how past events have shaped you. But if only works if I am touching the person."
He held out his hand for me to grasp. I saw him as a newborn in his own house. He caught the sent of his wife and couldn't control himself. He attacked her neck and drained every drop of blood in her body. After when he realized what he had done he sobbed. He had loved his wife very much and knowing that he had killed her was unbearable for him. He swore to never drink another human again that moment.
"I understand now." I said, "That explains your strange eye color."
"Yes, it does."
"Is drinking animal satisfying?"
"Not as fulfilling as human but it gets the job done. Why do you ask?"
"I have always felt bad about drinking humans but I never thought I could survive by drinking anything else."
"Perhaps you should try my way of life. Would you like to join my coven?"
"There are more of you?" I asked shocked
"Well if you join me it'll be you and me."
"I believe I will give this drinking animals thing a shot."

My second story is of when I found Kevin on the battlefield.

It was 1809 during the Napoleonic Wars and Jean Luc and I were hiding im Spain near La Corunna. We stopped breathing for the most part during the battle so that we wouldn't be tempted to do after any of the soldiers. However, fate had different plans. The wind that blew in torwards us brought with it the most delicious sent I had ever smelled. I had to have that blood. I could feel the venom gather in my mouth and I ran towards the scent. There was no way Jean-Luc could have stopped me since I ran faster than he did. I found Kevin lying under other dead soldiers. He was close to death and my taking the last of his blood would only speed the process along. Again, this was not to be for the moment I leaned my head down to bite his neck I heard a weak voice say "Help me, please." I looked up into his face and paused. I stared at his eyes for a moment and found my self lost in tehir blue depths. I leaned my head down once more and instead of killing him, I changed him into a vampire. After getting the venom into his system I picked him up and ran back to the house that Jean-Luc and I were staying at. Jean-Luc was prepared to yell at me for deviating from our diet but it died in his throat them moment he saw Kevin in my arms.
"I couldn't let him die. I changed him."
I spent three and a half days by his side and I explained to him what happened when he awoke. He didn't hate me for doing what he did and he actually thanked me. I kept him from killing humans and he loved me unconditionally in return.
