Two new systems have been added to the site. These are called the Point and Reputation systems. Both will be used to help add up Vegetarian Points as well as a new EPC award! Below are a description of both new point systems:
The Point System
The point system is based on a number of critera used to come up with a number for each member for how many 'points' they have. The following ways calculate the number of points you have:
*the number of posts you have
*the number of topics you've created
**Please note that depending on the forum the number of points you are recieving does change meaning you are not getting as many points for posting in the games forum as you are for participating in Twilight discussions or events and classes.**
You can also earn points by being helpful around the site or to other members. Administrators can give extra points to members who stand out among the rest. More ways to add points may be added to the criteria as we expierement with the different options.
You can find your points systems in your profile or along with the information found in each post you make below your status.
What will the point system be used for?
Instead of adding up all the posts each coven has made in order to earn Vegetarian Points, the number of points that the members of each coven has will now be used for the Vegetarian Points. This means it is no longer as important for covens to have members who post frequently, but also those who participate in events and regularily take part in discussions around the site.
The Reputation System
Reputation points are given by your fellow members when they feel you deserve the points for helping them, or other members out, answering questions, ect. When you are given Rep points, you are also awarded a point in the Point System for being repped. You can also take away Reputation points if you feel a member is out of line is what they are saying (this does not mean that if you disagree with another member you can take away points) and it will remove a Point from the Point System.
To give a fellow member a Reputation point, you look to the right side of the message where you will find a plus and a minus button. If you wish to give a point, press the + button and if you wish to remove a point, press the - button. The bar will then turn green if you gave a point, and red if you took a point away. You cannot rep your own posts.
What Are Reputation Points Used For?
Reputation Points will be used for a new award given out with the Coven of the Year award for the Helpfullest Coven of the Year (whichever coven has the most Reputation Points). This does not mean you can continuously rep members of your own coven in order to get more points. If you are found to be doing so, you will lose numerous points and all of your Rep points.
