| Hey everyone! I guess I'll just give you some facts about me:
I love Twilight and Edward (obviously).
LOVED the Host.
I'm a brunette.
Would like to play the violin (and do) but it's very hard for me because I'm deaf. I like the feel of knowing I'm playing it but I can't hear it which really makes me sad.
I've been deaf since I was nine when a car accident I was in took my hearing away. It was REALLY hard for me for the first year or two, but I'm mostly used to it now, and don't be afraid to ask me questions about it if you want to cause I don't mind.

And because I've gotten a couple PMs from people asking about my deafness and so on, I'm gonna type a bit about it.
To answer someone's question on how I found out I was deaf:
I was in the hospital after the car accident, and I woke up to see nurses and everyone standing around me, checking scans and so on, and one of the nurses realized that I was awake and said something to the other nurses, but I couldn't hear them. They started asking me questions, but I couldn't hear them. When I told them I couldn't hear them, I couldn't hear myself either. They becacme increasingly worried and started getting paper and pencil and writing things out to me, asking if I could hear, and I kept saying no, I couldn't and I started crying (only 9!!!!) and I was hyperventilating and they were scared I was going to go into shock cause they kept writing for me to take deep breaths, and soon the doctor was there and he said I was going to go to sleep for a bit, and they gave me things to fall asleep and so on, and they tried to fix my hearing (and failed) and I haven't been able to hear since. It was REALLY scary! I loved music and I hate not being able to listen to music anymore or enjoy hearing. You don't realize how much you love something til it's gone.
To answer someone's question about how I play the violin:
I have a special private teacher who helps me use finger memory and so on so I know it's in tune, but I think I'm going to give it up cause it's extremely challenging and tires me out. The teacher is very nice and patient though!
To answer someone's question about how I get up in the morning without an alarm:
My mom or little sister comes in and has to shake me awake, or my alarm is special for deaf people and blinks VERY brightly to wake you up but I prefer my family to do it. I also go to a special school for deaf kids so I can actually understand what the teacher's saying.
To answer someone's question about how I watch TV:
Subtitles. xD
And a lot of these are by one person guys so it's not like I got THAT many PMs. lol
