Gray is stirring, and she remembers where her and Edward left things last night.
"Aww, cr*p" she mutters, turning over to see Edward sitting on her desk chair, watching her.

Emmett storms up the stairs into Charlie's room.

He crosses to her wardrobe, pulling out something clean for her to wear.
"Get this on. Now. We're picking up Edward and Gray in half an hour."

'Emmett, why?' Charlie moans, sleepily.

"Because it makes a change, Ed usally drives. It's not my fault you'd rather be getting up close and personal with French Vampires than sleeping is it?!"
Emmett s getting really angry, like he is about to explode

'Emmett...how many times do I have to say?' she mumbles into her pillow, turning over and snuggling up.

"Say what? You're sorry? I know you are, but it's me I'm the most angry at, letting you run off like that! Now come on, please."

'No! I'm not flipping well sorry! I don't have anything to be sorry about! He was helping me!' Charlie yells into her pillow.

Emmett sighs, annoyed that they have had two arguments in two days-ove mike and laurent
Edward waits in Gray's room for her to get up and dressed.He makes her some toast.
Gray's mum wont get up and spot Edward

'Can I just say your not acting very Emmett like?' Charlie mumbles, standing up and walking over to him.

'I'm not, am I?' Emmett says, smiling cheekily and picking her, kissing her nose.

"And are you planning to go back to acting Emmett-like? I don't like it when you're not like Emmett-like" Charlie asks, smiling
"If it stops you doing anything like that again." Emmett says

"Don't blame me, please." Charlie scowls.
Emmett laughs, "You're scowling."
"Am not."
"Are too."
"Am not."
"Are too."
"Am not!"
"Are too!" Emmett grins, picking Charlie up and carrying her down to the car.
"I need to get dressed!" she says, exasperated.
"You do? Oh." he laughs, letting her go back upstairs.

When Charlie is dressed, Emmett carries her back to the car and does her seatbelt for her, whilst she sits there like a contented child. Then they head off for Gray's house with "The Bird Is The Word" blaring out the speakers

"Uh, Emmett?" she mutters.
"Yes...?" he looks at her.
"LOOK AT THE ROAD!" she yells, gripping the dashboard.
"Calm down," he laughs turning back to the front, "Anyway, yes?"

"I was just wondering, whether you would ever..you know...." she blushes
"What?!" asks Emmett anxiously, raising an eyebrow. "You know if you don't tell I'll get it out of Edward."
"Edward respects my privacy" Charlie says, shocked at her adult-sounding words
